Central Coast Aikido is a traditional Aikido dojo located on the NSW Central Coast. Since 1998, we’ve been dedicated to teaching Aikido, the Japanese martial art of harmony, movement, and self-defence. Our dojo is a place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience are welcome. Whether you’re looking to learn self-defence, improve your fitness, gain confidence, or explore a deeper path of personal growth, you’ll find a supportive community here.
Aikido, founded by Morihei Ueshiba (O-Sensei), is a non-competitive martial art that emphasizes blending with an attack rather than meeting force with force. Techniques include circular movements, joint locks, and throws that neutralize aggression without causing injury. It’s effective, graceful, and adaptable, making it ideal for both men and women, from teens to older adults.
At Central Coast Aikido, we maintain a respectful and inclusive training environment. You don’t need to be strong, flexible, or experienced to begin. Our skilled instructors guide each student at their own pace, helping them build coordination, awareness, and confidence both on and off the mat.
We offer regular classes throughout the week, with options for beginners, children, and advanced students. Visitors are always welcome to watch a class or try one out.
Join us to experience Aikido as more than just a martial art. It’s a way of life that fosters calmness, respect, and resilience qualities we all need in today’s busy world.
Come train with us and become part of a friendly dojo where tradition meets personal transformation.
